Super Couple Deesha & Wes Choose Signature Vintage Style for Their Engagement

It’s true what all the sassy coffee mugs & inspirational posters say: YOUR VIBE ATTRACTS YOUR TRIBE. Seeking a sustainable jeweler with vintage-style options, Deesha and Wes found their dream engagement ring in an ethically handmade Dana Walden design featuring conflict-free diamonds set in an ornate, floral setting of eco-friendly rose gold. Philly’s own Deesha Dyer is the founder & CEO of Hook & Fasten, a global social impact agency that builds transformational partnerships between communities and corporations. Deesha served as Social Secretary for the Obama White House and currently speaks and advocates for employee volunteerism, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Wes Moe of Milford, CT, spent time in AmeriCorps stateside before joining the Peace Corps in Jordan where he worked with the disability community. Upon returning home, Wes moved to New York City where he worked to build impact and skills-based volunteer programs. Both superheroes in our book, Deesha and Wes met on the Hinge dating app back in 2019, when they each decided to give love “just one more try." It's fair to say the algorithm came through because Deesha and Wes are a perfect match.

Now living in Washington D.C., the couple was engaged last summer at The REACH, an outdoor installation and park at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Wes expertly conspired with Deesha’s photographer friend, Milli, (who captured the photos above) to keep everything a surprise. We see a breathtaking wedding full of chic, vintage vibes in this couple's future! They will marry in the Fall.
